About Focus Travel Partnership
Focus Travel Partnership is the leading business travel consortium for the independent TMC (Travel Management Company) sector. It was founded in 1999 by 15 Business Travel Management companies looking to create a Partnership that was solely designed to serve the needs of the corporate traveller.
Today, its membership of 60 TMC enterprises has a turnover in excess of £1 billion. The consortium’s collective size enables the Focus buying team to negotiate mutually beneficial partnership agreements with suppliers across multiple travel sectors.
Focus Travel Partnership provides a collaborative voice on industry issues, such as airline distribution, the latest technology developments, sustainability, duty of care, wellbeing and health, providing exceptional value in the business travel marketplace and to the wider supply chain.
Focus Travel Partnership has a Board of seven Directors who oversee the strategy and direction of the consortium, ensuring that the objectives of the membership are achieved.
Focus Travel Partnership is at the forefront of technology developments and Focus Travel Partnership’s Farecast, for example – a desktop tool enabling members to find the best airline fares the consortium has negotiated – undercuts leading trade and consumer competitors.
Focus Travel Partnership provides an important forum for members and suppliers to meet and do business and as a result organises a number of both regional and nationwide events with commercial partners. These include three flagship events across the year, in February, June and October.
In 2019 the organisation became a limited company and appointed Abby Penston as Managing Director and in January 2020, Focus Travel Partnership announced Adrian Parkes as non-Executive Chairman.
