Being a Partner of the Focus Travel Partnership gives TMCs a variety of different benefits, including but not limited to the following.
Airlines and Air Fares
Our long-standing and strong relationships with airlines allows us to negotiate commercials and private fares subject to the needs of our Partners.
The fares programme is continually reviewed and enhanced whilst our support team provides advice, training and guidance on best practice and how to maximise on the use of the fares. In addition, our team manages added value funds offered by some airlines and assistance on obtaining ticketing authorities from airlines. Bespoke fares (eg marine, academic etc) can be obtained by Partners from airlines directly and are not included in the central programme.
Mirroring our successful air programme, we are now focussing on the development of a rail programme to enhance product and content available to customers. This dovetails with developments of booking solutions, access to best in market content and added value for travellers to benefit from.
It also reaches beyond UK domestic rail as the demand for international rail is now higher than ever as travellers consider sustainability as well as the knock-on effect of reduced air routing and capacity following the Covid-19 pandemic.
Events and Networking
Our highly rated events allow TMC Partners to meet and interact in a variety of settings including conferences, dinners, drinks receptions as well as newly introduced hybrid events.
Partners are invited to three main events annually, all of which give opportunities for networking, gaining industry knowledge and intel as well as development of new skillsets.
Delegates leave each event inspired, having gained a new wealth of knowledge and contacts.
Our Partnership with the BTA
Through our central membership of the BTA (Business Travel Association), all our TMC Partners are automatically entitled to the benefits that the BTA offers.
Working in collaboration with Focus, industry specialists and suppliers, the BTA delivers practical solutions and advice on industry-wide issues. This is achieved through discussion and debate, sector strategy groups and forums, bespoke industry content, lobbying of the government and industry associations plus a calendar of engaging conferences and events.
In order to focus tactically on key industry topics, we have smaller working parties across the Partnership which form our various steering groups.
Nominated Partners meet throughout the year to discuss new ideas, issues, and ways to help the wider Partnership within that sector. Steering group topics currently include air, technology, rail and operations.
Focus provides a portfolio of technology solutions and access to support services at preferred rates, always ensuring that our Partners are getting the optimum help, at the best price. This portfolio includes a number of Focus developed products which can help with the likes of finding the best airfares, managing duty of care requirements as well as simplifying credit card reconciliation processes.
Our Digital Community
Our state-of-the-art Extranet is personalised for each Focus TMC Partner, providing a central repository for industry updates and a knowledge-bank of engaging and educational information.
This includes supplier information, contact details, training, incentives, help and advice, as well as topical content via blogs and videos.
