Focus Travel Partnership, the UK’s leading business travel consortium for independent and SME Travel Management Companies (TMCs), is delighted to announce the appointment of Neil Armorgie as its new Chair.

Neil succeeds Adrian Parkes, who returned to serve as Focus Chair during a period of transition. The Board extends its sincere thanks to Adrian for his outstanding commitment and stewardship, ensuring continuity and stability for the Partnership before stepping back into semi-retirement.

Neil Armorgie brings a wealth of experience and a unique connection to the Partnership, having worked alongside the founding Focus Partners when the organisation was launched in 1999. Neil has maintained a close relationship with Focus throughout his distinguished career. His long-standing insight of Focus Travel Partnership’s values, purpose and evolution positions him well to lead the Partnership into its next phase of growth, and his appointment marks something of a homecoming.

Commenting on his appointment, Neil Armorgie said: “I am deeply honoured and thrilled to step into the position of Chair. Having been part of the original team at the inception of Focus Travel Partnership, I have enjoyed a close working relationship with the central team and our individual TMC Partners for many years. Focus stands unmatched in corporate travel as a cohesive, collective buying network. I look forward to working with the team and the Partners, for our continued growth and ensuring our strategy remains firmly rooted in serving the TMC community.”

Armorgie added, “Focus is the natural home for forward-thinking and ambitious SME TMCs, having built an enviable reputation by delivering for its airline and other supplier partners, as well as being highly regarded for introducing new technology in the corporate SME travel sector. We will continue to be laser-focused on driving increased sales for our suppliers.”

Neil is an accomplished senior executive and board-level director with more than three decades of experience in the travel industry. He has a proven track record of driving commercial growth and developing strategic global partnerships.

He served as CEO of Worldwide Independent Travel Network (WIN) for 18 years, growing the organisation from just four members to more than 6,000 travel agencies across 70 countries. Following Advantage Travel Partnership’s acquisition of WIN, Neil became Corporate Travel Director, continuing to strengthen relationships across the business travel sector. His career has also included senior leadership positions as Travel Director at Avios (formerly AirMiles) and CEO of Snowstorm Technologies.

Paul Spencer, Managing Director of Focus Travel Partnership, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Neil as Chair. His extensive industry experience, strategic vision and unique understanding of Focus Travel Partnership’s heritage and core values make him exceptionally well placed to lead the Board of Directors. We also extend our thanks to Adrian for his dedication and leadership during his time as Chair since returning to the role early last year. His contribution has been invaluable, and we wish him every happiness in his well-earned retirement.”

Neil’s appointment signals the next chapter in Focus Travel Partnership’s evolution as it continues to strengthen its support for independent TMCs through collaboration, innovation and collective buying power, whilst delivering outstanding value for supplier partners.
