Tony Edge, Focus Travel Partnership Business Solutions Manager, wins Tech Innovator at the Business Travel People Awards
Focus Travel Partnership are thrilled to share that Tony Edge, Focus Business Solutions Manager, has been awarded ‘Tech Innovator’ at this year’s Business Travel People Awards. These awards recognise individuals and teams in business travel whose professionalism and business excellence make them stand out from their peers. The People Awards are unique in that they celebrate the achievements of the people in our industry, and they are designed to showcase the finest talent.
This accolade comes hot on the heels of Tony’s award in July by the Institute of Travel Management for Tech Innovator. This remarkable achievement – two major Travel Technology awards in a single year – is a testament to Tony’s outstanding contributions to advancing innovation and creating seamless technology-driven solution opportunities for our Focus TMC Partners.
Now in their 13th year, the Business Travel People Awards culminated in a glittering ceremony this week at the Grand Connaught Rooms, where Tony was presented with his accolade by Bev Fearis, Editor of The Business Travel Magazine. Bev said; ‘Tony is a dedicated champion of innovation and a solutions-driven architect, Tony is fuelled by a desire to help solve some of the key challenges TMCs are facing and revolutionising the business travel industry for the better.’
Tony, who joined Focus in June 2023, said; ‘What a fantastic night it was at The Business Travel People Awards. I was shocked at being shortlisted, but walking away with the Award for Travel Tech Innovator really is one of, if not the, proudest moment in my career so far. Nights like these awards really do showcase our industry in the best possible way and everyone involved whether they are organisers, judges, winners, nominees should be so proud to be involved with an event that recognises the talent this industry holds in such a great way. This award doesn’t just recognise me as an individual but represents everything we do at Focus Travel Partnership. The central team work on behalf of our Partners and Supplier Partners every day and after seeing so many of our TMCs recognised last night, it’s clear this is just another step in achieving our goals together!
